I need to prepare a communications plan for the opening of the new factory plant in Turkey.
Joan McChatty, my "predecessor", joined Cablinc with all three factories running so she knows nothing about the communication done at the time. So today Joan and I spent the day trying to find as much information as possible about the opening of the Portuguese and Slovak factories: what was done, the timing, what went wrong, what was successful, etc..
We found hardly anything: the person responsible for the communication plans has long left the company; and nobody knows where the relevant documents are.
Joan McChatty suggested that I get in touch with Sam McCable. He's been with the company from day one.
