Who knows?
Last week I realised I need to prepare a communications plan for the opening of the new factory in Turkey.
I decided to pick Joan McChatty’s brains. Joan is my “predecessor”. Unfortunately, when she joined Cablinc all three factories were already running: she knows nothing about the communication plans implemented at the time of their opening.
We spent the whole afternoon searching for information on what was done, communication-wise, for the opening of the Portuguese and Slovak factories: what was done, the timing, what went wrong, what was successful, etc.
We found hardly anything. Our search led to one dead end after another: the person responsible for those communication plans has long left the company and nobody knows of any relevant documents are.
Joan McChatty suggested that I get in touch with Sam McCable. He’s been with the company from day one.
